QUETTA: A man shot dead his married sister and another man in an alleged honour killing in the Kachhi Town area of Quetta on Wednesday.

According to police, the suspect barged into his sister’s house on Quetta-Sibi Road and opened fire on her and a man present in the house. Both victims died on the spot after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds.

The woman, a mother of seven, was allegedly targeted over suspicions of violating family honour. The second victim was identified as Munir Ahmed, a government employee.

The suspect fled the scene after committing the crime. Police officials suspect the incident was an honour killing and have launched an investigation.

The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta before being handed over to the victims’ families.
