GWADAR: Unknown assailants killed two people in Turbat town of Kech district on Saturday.

According to police, armed men riding a motorbike opened fire at an embroidery shop in Star Plus Market, killing two people who were worked there.

Police rushed to the site soon after the incident and shifted the bodies to the district hospital.

“Both victims sustained multiple bullet injuries, causing their instant deaths,” police officials said. They were identified as Najeebullah, a resident of Khuzdar, and Adnan from Buleda.

The bodies were handed over to the families after completing medico-legal formalities. Police termed the incident a target killing, though no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Explosions in Kharan

Powerful explosions rocked Kharan town on Saturday. Police confirmed that two blasts were heard in the red zone area but no casualties were reported.

In a separate incident, unknown armed men opened fire in Kharan town, killing a man, who was identified as Rasool Bakhsh, a resident of Sindh.

He had been living in Kharan for a long time and was selling local caps.

Police said armed men hit him in the head and escaped.
