KARACHI: The moon for Muharram was not sighted in the country on Monday and, therefore, the month of Muharram will begin on Wednesday. The Youm-i-Ashur will be observed on Dec 17.

Chairman of Central Ruet-i-Hilal committee Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman said after a meeting that no evidence of the sighting of Muharram moon had been received from any part of the country.
