NAWABSHAH, Oct 11: The People’s Party Parliamentarians has captured the two National Assembly and five Sindh Assembly seats in Nawabshah district, according to the unofficial results.

In NA-213 (Nawabshah-I), Dr Azra Paichuho, the sister of Asif Ali Zardari and candidate of the PPP, won the seat by securing 74,461 votes while Syed Zahid Hussain Shah of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q got 28,791 and Ghulam Haider Rahu of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement secured 20,789 votes.

The PPP’s Syed Ghulam Mustafa, son of former MNA Syed Shabbir Shah, captured the NA-214 (Nawabshah-II) seat by securing 58,933 votes while Mumtaz Ahmed Rahu (National Alliance) remained at second position by getting 46,139 votes.

Choudhry Tariq Masood Arain (PPP) was elected from PS-24 (Nawabshah-I) by getting 23,901 votes while Rao Abdul Sami (MQM) got 18,180 votes.

In PS-25, Ahmed Ali Jalbani (PPP) won the polls by securing 29,760 votes while Ali Nawaz Brohi (Sindh Democratic Alliance) got 14,756 votes.

In PS-26, Syed Ali Ahmed Shah (PPP) won the polls by securing 29,612 votes while Bahadur Khan Dahri (SDA) remained second by getting 19,733 votes.

Ghulam Qadir Chandio (PPP) won the seat of PS-27 by getting 27,662 while his rival candidate, Abdul Hafiz Unnar of the PML-Q got 16,399 votes.

In PS-28, Jam Tamachi Unnar (PPP) won the seat by securing 27,101 votes while Bahadur Khan Dahri got 22,209 votes. The results were received from the Election Commission sources.
