LAHORE: Senior Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Makhdoom Javed Hashmi was on Monday appointed as President of the party.

The decision was announced during a press conference attended by PTI chief Imran Khan and other senior party leaders here.

Speaking on the occasion, Hashmi said that Imran Khan was fighting against corruption and he would standby him in the struggle for stability of democracy.

He announced that Pakistan Democratic Party (PDP) of late veteran politician Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan had been merged in PTI.
