NEW DELHI: Pakistan has accused India of decapitating 12 soldiers in cross-border attacks since 1998 and registered a protest with a UN watchdog, a newspaper reported Wednesday, after deadly army clashes earlier this month.
The accusations are contained in a series of classified documents presented to the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) which monitors the disputed Kashmir border, according to The Hindu newspaper.
The report follows a series of killings of soldiers on both sides earlier this month along the de facto border known as the Line of Control (LoC).
Pakistan says three of its soldiers were killed in firing by Indian troops while India accuses Pakistani troops of killing two of its soldiers on Jan 8, one of whom was beheaded. Pakistan has denied responsibility.
The situation along the LoC has calmed since the two armies agreed a ceasefire on Jan 16.
In its complaint before the UNMOGIP, Pakistan is reported to have accused India of beheading 12 soldiers and killing 29 civilians since 1998.
The newspaper quoted an unnamed senior Pakistani army officer stating that they have “sought to downplay these incidents...Each of these incidents has been protested by us on both military and UNMOGIP channels”.
The UNMOGIP was set up to monitor ceasefire violations by India and Pakistan but the watchdog does not conduct criminal investigations.

I remember how people came out last year on roads to demand there tution fee rights, stop the war rights but politician do not care.
Same laws and system does not work everywhere and due to the nature of Indians they do not have anything of there own and they borrow it from West just like current fame but when you go to India, you only find out that how dangrious is for women, poor and Muslims

being Pakistani we should ask this question but we should also support any decision which is to safeguard our nation. Asking question that why they didnt investigated earlier is our internal issue but filling complaint should be done and its well done by Pakistan.
Remember we are Muslims and due to our nature we do not have same haterate towards Hindus but they really hate us. Have you ever read there news and comments? you will be supprised to see how much they hate us and how much we Pakistani what there movies that they can use the profit from movies against Pakistan.
it will be good to question your self first before your politician because we have watched their movies, dramas and probably their culture.

Well, both sides are in essence sons of same soil. A slightly better ideology of the govt could manage to improve conditions on the east side of the border, while the west still grapples with its inner problems. May god, if it exists, help the two sides to calm down and work together...

I think you didn't read the whole story and just went on Condemning Pakistan as Indians Always do. Report clearly mentions that these issues were raised then both in flag meetings and with UN. This current report just further highlights the issue. Not Its great that Pakistan have a sense of normality in its military command unlike you guys who always cry like babies and war monger your nation then go back to sleep.

The same matter has been highlighted by burkha Dutt in Hindustan times where a Pakistani soldier head was hang in front of commander office. Shame on Pakistan for not highlighting these atrocities on right time the response is too slow.

I wonder why Pakistanis don't raise their voice about Pakistan Army not accepting the bodies of their soldiers during Kargil. Was the Pak army really so dumb that they believed that such refusal would hide their role in the war? Soldiers are soldiers dying for their country. Even as an Indian I felt disturbed at the humiliation of Pak soldiers by their own Generals. The Islamic funerals given by the Indian army to these soldiers was well documented.

Above are the comments/question put up by fellow Pakistani and rightly so. The answer to all of these is in the fact that Pakistan has always made up stuff to retaliate back to India.
I still remember when Pakistani's gave list of 10 wanted pakistani living in India in 2000. it had LK Advani's name on it for an act against which the FIR was supposedly registered before 1947.
I wonder why Pakistanis get so easily fooled by Pakistani Govt., agencies etc. Pakistanis are do naive!!!

The original report came in The Hindu tells the Pak side allegations. Even those uninvestigated allegations are believed to be retaliatory measures, for killings done by Pak side, though both killings are unjust and unwanted. Just, adding the other side which was ignored while re-reporting the news here. India does not seem to take UNMOGIP seriously, so they donot seem to bother to report their side of complaints there.

My friend, you are falling for the oldest Pakistani trick in the book. In the past they have claimed that India sends terrorists across the border, that Indian spies are causing bomb blasts across Pakistan, that India is fomenting trouble in Afghanistan - basically every single thing that India accuses them of. They have made a science out of reversing others' accusations and throwing them back. Add repeated denials of every single thing that the world accuses them of, and you have a potent deniability machine, which has been the hallmark of Pakistani geopolitics for the past 65 years.

An idea to Pakistani Diplomats. Please add another twist that it has been indian army beheading its own troops as well as pakistani army's troops. Pakistani army has been so disciplined.. restrained.. innocent and docile that they have been at the receiving end from india right from independence. Indians defeated and mutilated them in three wars and they kept asking for help from UN but none came on time. Pakistanis are a tortured lot and need british and US intervention immediately to take over security of their nation.

These incidents were highlighted, all incidents were raised at official levels, the record of those official meetings was presented to UN observers, Pakistan is not presenting fake record to UN observers, Pakistani media do not feed on bias and war mongering like the recent trends in indian media.
